TECHNOLOGICAL PLATE FOR COOLING ICE FIELD - ICE MATS 450 sq.m.

Ice mats 150x8x8 (length of segments 16 m)

Ice mats are operated as part of an ice field pipe system, connected to a refrigeration unit and providing circulation of coolant to cool the ice. Pipe systems based on ice mat technology made of EPDM rubber, designed for the installation of cooling systems for ice fields in structures with artificial ice.

The pipe system is operational in air in the temperature range from minus 50 to plus 100˚С in an environment of water, antifreeze based on ethylene glycol, propylene glycol and an aqueous solution of calcium chloride, under pressure up to 0.25 (2.5) MPa (kgf/cm²) for a short time and up to 0.20(2.0) MPa (kgf/cm²) in constant operating mode.

The pipe system consists of a pipe manifold and a cold transfer surface, onto which an ice field is frozen on top.

Advantages of ice mats over other types of ice fields:

  • the size of the ice field can be easily changed if necessary without disturbing technological process and additional costs;
  • the costs of manufacturing and installing a mobile ice field are significantly lower than similar costs when creating a stationary site;
  • low coolant consumption;
  • efficiency in energy consumption of the refrigeration system compared to stationary rollers (up to 30%);
  • ease of dismantling and storage during downtime.

HOCKEY COURT (BOARD) 30x15 m.

Fiberglass panels white with a glossy surface, meeting the requirements for hockey boards:

  • thickness 7mm;
  • height 1220mm;
  • length 2440 mm;

Fiberglass panels are mounted on metal welded frames made of 50x25x1.5mm profile pipe.

The connection of fiberglass to the steel frame is carried out using galvanized self-tapping screws. All fastening parts (bolts, nuts, washers) are galvanized, and the metal structures of the box (frames, hinges, self-closing bolts) are coated with blue polymer paint.

In the lower part of the side, they are reinforced with a yellow fiberglass plate (bumper), 6 mm thick and 200 mm wide, which is attached to the panel using a bolt-nut connection. At the top of the side there is a “U” shaped handrail 60 mm wide, blue, made of polyethylene low pressure(PND). This form of handrail allows you to prevent moisture from getting between the fiberglass panel and the steel frame, as well as protect the frame itself from harmful influences.

The handrail is attached to the fiberglass panel with galvanized screws.

The hockey boards include reinforced gates for players (2 pieces), 900 mm wide, with a self-closing lock, and a swing-type technological gate, 4880 mm wide, with a double-frame bolt. For ease of opening, the gate leaves are equipped with sliding rollers.

Fastening the hockey board to the base using triangular supports made of a 50x25x1.5mm profile pipe, the height of the support is 600mm. The supports are clamped using anchor bolts (concrete) or an angle 35x35x4mm. (soil, asphalt), which is driven into the ground to a depth of 800mm.

The hockey board can withstand the ambient temperature conditions:

from -50˚С to +50˚С.

Hockey court fencing

Height 1500mm. Material – panels made of steel angle 35x35 mm filled with galvanized chain-link mesh with a cell of 45x45 mm.

The chain-link mesh is enclosed in a corner frame and has dimensions of 1500x2440 mm. The thickness of the rod is 2mm.

Sections of the fence are fastened together using a vertical post, which increases the rigidity of the structure and improves appearance fencing

Hockey rink size

Before building a hockey rink, it is necessary to take into account the increase in the size of the hockey rink (length and width), because you need to consider the place for attaching the hockey board system. Usually the outer perimeter is increased to 1 meter.

A standard hockey box corresponds to the following dimensions:

hockey rink 60 by 30 meters, with a curvature radius of 7.5 meters

or with the minimum allowed size:

hockey rink 56 by 26 meters, with a curvature radius of 7.5 meters.

Our company produces hockey courts with non-standard sizes:

Hockey rink 56 by 20 meters, with a radius of 4 meters

Hockey rink 46 by 26 meters, with a curvature radius of 4 meters

Hockey rink 40 by 20 meters, with a curvature radius of 4 meters

Hockey rink 40 by 15 meters, with a curvature radius of 4 meters

Hockey rink 38 by 18 meters, with a radius of 4 meters

Hockey rink 30 by 15 meters, with a radius of 4 meters

Hockey rink 24 by 12 meters, with a radius of 4 meters

The size of the hockey rink varies according to the rules:

NHL (National Hockey League, NHL) and

IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation, IIHF)

According to the rules of the International Ice Hockey Federation, a hockey rink can be maximum size 61 x 30 meters, and with the minimum acceptable size - a hockey rink of 56 x 26 meters. Official competitions held under the auspices of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) allow dimensions of 60-61 meters in length and 29-30 meters in width.

The rules of the NHL (National Hockey League) prescribe the size of a hockey rink to be 60.96 meters long and 25.90 meters wide, which results in a hockey rink narrower in width by 4 meters.

It is believed that the smaller size of the hockey rink increases the strength of the players’ struggle to shoot at the hockey goal. And the larger the size of the hockey rink, the more suitable for combination hockey. The corners of the hockey platform are rounded with a circle radius of 7 to 8.5 meters. Hockey goals should be located along the edges of the hockey rink. The height of the boards for playing hockey is from 1.17 to 1.22 meters according to the rules of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), and according to the rules of the NHL (National Hockey League), the height of the hockey board is from 1.02 to 1.22 meters.

IN last year- two residents of high-rise buildings increasingly have a desire to organize skating rinks or hockey rinks not far from their homes, or rather, in their local area. At first glance, setting up a skating rink or hockey rink is a simple matter. But when considering this event from all sides, including from the point of view of its further content and maintenance, a number of questions arise. But first things first.

Before starting work, it is necessary to decide on the territory on which it is planned to build a skating rink or hockey rink, i.e. Either this is the territory assigned to the house, or it is municipal land and it is necessary to coordinate the lease of this land plot with local authorities.

Site preparation

At the initial stage of construction of a hockey court, it is necessary to prepare the site for the installation of the boards. To do this, you need to level the ground using a grader or other equipment, and then manually completely level the surface. The height difference should not exceed 20 mm. Depending on the size of the court, the area is leveled 2 meters larger than the size of the box itself for further snow removal from the skating rink. Standard dimensions of a hockey box: length of the rink 56-61m, width - 26-30m. Leveling such a site will require at least four machine-hours of work. The average market price for 1 hour of grader operation is 1,500 rubles. This does not include the cost of manual labor (for final leveling and compacting of the surface).

1) Pouring the site with concrete

1.1 Installing the court sides directly onto the concrete slab.

1.2 Application of a specialized rubber coating. This structure will allow the site to be widely used in summer season. A special rubber layer prevents serious injuries from falling and is safer than concrete. The main disadvantage of such a site structure is its high cost.

2) Asphalting the site

Both methods will allow you to use less water during the initial pour, simplify the installation of the court sides and make it possible to use the court in the summer season.

3) Installing the court directly on the ground

This option is the cheapest possible and requires the least amount of financial investments and labor costs of workers. The disadvantages of mm include: complication of the initial filling process due to the absorption of moisture by the soil; impossibility of full use of the court in the summer.

The customer must initially decide on the site option.

Filling the skating rink

When pouring an already prepared site, the question arises about water: Where to get it? At whose expense? Who will fill and then level? Using what (hoses, buckets, etc.)? After all, for skiing purposes, the surface is poured in a special way onto pre-compacted snow, so that there are no various types of unevenness and there are no areas left that are not flooded with water.

So, the skating rink is ready.

Now we need to make sure that it is kept in order. For cleaning you will need special equipment. First of all, you will also need iron scrapers for cutting off unevenness on the ice, brooms, ordinary wooden or wide iron shields. To transport snow, it is advisable to have a sled with a wide box. Question: Who will do this work? Where to get and subsequently store equipment?

Ice is necessary regularly - daily! - sweep, clear away snow, “top up”, that is, level the surface, as it is crushed with skates.

Lighting

When building a skating rink, you should not forget: the winter day is short, evening comes early and when skating in the dark you can unwittingly run over a fallen person, thereby causing him bodily harm. In this regard, artificial lighting is necessary. Regular street lights installed nearby will not cope with this task. For these purposes, it is recommended to install lamps or spotlights with twelve 500-watt lamps, depending on the size of the rink, on six to eight masts located outside the side walls. Thus, another question arises: Who, how and at what cost will provide lighting for the skating rink?

At skating rink operation the following questions arise:

— Where do amateur athletes change clothes? For these purposes there must be a room with basic benches and lighting. Who will maintain this room and clean it? At whose expense?

— A toilet needs to be installed for residents of nearby houses, otherwise they will adapt the first entrances they come across for their needs. Who, at whose expense, on what terms will deal with this issue?

Therefore, before starting work on installing a skating rink or hockey rink in your yard, you need to develop a unique business plan and discuss issues regarding the maintenance of this territory with your management company in advance.

Here are some price offers for the construction of a hockey rink:

Option 1.

In large numbers, the hockey box is surrounded by smooth wooden (plywood, board) or plastic sides, which should not be lower than 1 meter and higher than 1.22 meters. The size of hockey rinks varies between the world's two largest leagues. And it’s significant. The domestic Continental Hockey League has its own parameters; in the National Hockey League, which unites teams from the USA and Canada, their own. What is the fundamental difference, how does it affect the game? Let's try to figure it out.

Hockey field

The size of hockey boxes in Russia and the USA is so different that it will catch the eye of anyone who follows hockey even a little.

Essentially, the hockey rink (or box) itself is a surface white ice, limited by special boards behind which there are substitute players, coaches and fans.

The types and sizes of hockey rinks have certainly changed with the development of this sport. If at the dawn of hockey the requirements for the size of hockey boxes and other parameters were very approximate, today the rules require strict adherence to the established standards. It is no longer possible to retreat from them.

Dimensions of a hockey rink in the KHL

The size of hockey boxes in the Kontinental Hockey League corresponds to the parameters adopted by the International Ice Hockey Federation. It is worth noting that there are no strict requirements - the size of the site may vary. But they must meet the minimum and maximum values along the length and width of the playing field.

Thus, the International Ice Hockey Federation allows official matches to be held only on boxes that are no more than 61 meters in length and no more than 37 meters in width. At the same time, the minimum standard size hockey rink - 56 meters long and 26 meters wide. In Europe, as well as in the Continental Hockey League, it is believed that these are the most optimal parameters for a spectacular, productive and vibrant game.

It is noteworthy that in the USA and Canada the size of hockey rinks is different. But the federation often makes concessions, trying to find a compromise. For example, in 2010 at Olympic Games, which were held in Vancouver, Canada, it was decided to hold the games on venues with intermediate sizes. This made it possible to deprive some players of an unfair advantage over others and try to find average sizes that would suit everyone without exception.

NHL hockey rink size

In the National Hockey League, where teams from the USA and Canada compete, the parameters are completely different. Even if they are not radically different, for a professional athlete the difference will be felt. This could affect his game.

According to NHL rules, maximum dimensions boxes - 200 x 85 feet. Translated into a metric system that is more understandable to us, it turns out that the length of the site should be slightly less than 61 meters, and the width slightly less than 26 meters. It turns out that the size of the Canadian hockey box is approximately 4 meters smaller than recommended by international rules.

What are the advantages of small hockey rinks?

It's no secret that the National Hockey League is considered one of the strongest in the world. This is where they perform best players and coaches, NHL games attract the largest viewing audiences around the world. Many hockey players, even in Europe and Russia, dream of playing overseas. Because it is in these competitions that a true professional hockey player will be able to fully demonstrate his talent. Accordingly, there are high salaries and bonuses.

So why did the organizers of the National Hockey League championship decide to make the hockey rink as small as possible? The explanation is simple. It is believed that what smaller sizes boxes, the more persistently the struggle for strength goes on, for which North American hockey is very valued. At the same time, the small size contributes to an increase in the number of shots on goal, and therefore the average performance of matches, and intense play at the hockey board.

But playing on more spacious grounds, according to experts, contributes to the development of combination play. The leadership of the International Ice Hockey Federation and the Kontinental Hockey League is in favor of this.

Other site parameters

In addition to the dimensions of the hockey rink according to GOST, there are many other parameters of the site. Some of them are the same in the NHL and KHL, others are different.

For example, the corners of the site must be rounded. In this case, the radius of the circle can vary from 7 to 8.5 meters. In this matter, there are practically no differences between European and North American hockey.

Same size and gate. Their width is one meter 83 centimeters, and their height is one meter 22 centimeters. This equates to 6 x 4 feet.

Much attention is paid to the ice surface. It must be as even and smooth as possible. Such that the puck slides without difficulty at maximum speed.

The height of the hockey boards, which enclose the entire perimeter of the site, is from 1 meter 17 to 1 meter 22 centimeters according to the rules of the international federation. In the NHL, the minimum and maximum parameters differ more. So, overseas the board can be only 102 centimeters high, or it can rise above the ice by one meter 22 centimeters. But at the same time, the optimal height for North American league games is one meter 7 centimeters.

It is precisely because of such low sides, which are installed on most rinks overseas, that while performing power moves a hockey player can fly to the bench, which often happens. But in European and domestic hockey such cases are very rare. After all, the sides are significantly higher.

At the same time, transparent barrier shields are installed above the boards on the back side of the site in order to maximally protect the fans sitting behind the goal. After an inaccurate shot, the puck often travels at high speed and can seriously injure someone.

There is no such protection on the sides of the hockey rink. The likelihood of a puck hitting fans here is several times lower. Although unpleasant incidents still happen.

Hockey rink markings

Special markings are applied to the surface of the site. It includes 5 lines. Two of them are called goal lines.

There is a center line in the middle of the court. Two more blue lines divide the space between the goals into three equal zones. These are the attack, defense and neutral zones.

What types of skates exist and how to choose the right size? What brands and prices should you focus on? How to care for skates? In this article we will give tips that will definitely be useful to you.

A beautiful and exciting sport. That is why our children, having seen the performances of figure skaters on TV, dream of learning to skate just like athletes do top class. And this dream is come true! Young figure skaters are accepted into commercial sports schools from the age of 3-4. At the amateur level, a child can learn to ride at any age he wishes. In almost every city you can find an ice skating rink. Therefore, it is very important to choose the right skates so that your child can stand comfortably on the ice.

Types of skates

There are different types of skates, namely:

  • Skates for children. Designed for beginners. Their main feature is that skates have two blades that are parallel to each other. This makes it almost impossible to ride quickly and fall into them.
  • Sliding skates. They will be comfortable for those who have already mastered roller skating in the summer. The main function is to expand the boot, which increases by 1-2 sizes. Therefore, such skates can be used to grow a child’s legs. With the help of special fastenings you can secure your leg well and avoid injury.
  • Children's ice hockey skates. Unlike other skates, these skates do not have serrations on the blade.
  • Skates for amateur sports. They are only for those who just come to ride and have fun. These skates can be rented at any skating rink.
  • Figure skates. These skates are intended for young pros or established professionals. Depending on your level of riding, a sports store will always help you choose the size. The blades of these skates are about 3 centimeters longer than the shoe itself.

How to choose by size

When buying skates for a child, there are many features to consider.

  1. It is better to buy figure skating skates in the same size as regular shoes or 1 size larger. If you buy 2 sizes larger, the child will often fall on the ice, which can lead to injury.
  2. The boot should fit the foot snugly, but not be too tight, so that the child is comfortable.
  3. It is very important to know that when buying skates you need to try them on in a warm room - the boot must be warm, because if the boot is cold, it is very difficult to determine how comfortable the child is in this boot.
  4. When trying on skates, you should pay attention to the height of the boot. It shouldn't be too high or too low. How to determine this? When lacing, the sides of the skates (where the lacing holes are located) should lie parallel to each other. If the sides of the skate are too tight, this indicates that the boot is wide.

An important aspect is correct lacing. There are rules and nuances here. It is important to choose the right laces, preferably made of nylon, as they stretch better and result in a tight fit around the skates, and therefore the feet. Laces provide the most secure fit.

  • You need to start lacing from the bottom. After putting the boot on your foot, you should first adjust the tongue, then tighten the bottom two lacing holes not very much so that the forefoot does not tighten and blood circulation is not impaired.
  • Next, you need to tighten the instep zone tightly enough so that the leg is well fixed and tie a knot.
  • Then we go up, put the lace on top of the hook and lower it down around the hook, then bring it up again to the next one. The lacing should go from the outside to the inside, over the tongue.

Popular brands and prices

To start classes, you can buy plastic skates; they are the most stable on ice, and when the child gets used to it and feels more confident on the ice rink, you can buy skates made of genuine leather. The main advantage of figure skates made of genuine leather is the ability to mold to the shape of your foot, providing complete control over the skates. The skate must have a fairly rigid shaft so that there are no creases, otherwise you can twist your leg and get an ankle injury or simply fall. It is better to give preference to well-known companies that produce equipment at a professional level:

  • Count. This is a Swiss company. They produce curly and excellent quality. Prices for children's skates start at 4,000 rubles.
  • Jackson. To date this company merged with Ultima and is part of the famous Canadian Bauer corporation. They produce top-class figure skates. Prices for children's skates start from 8,000 rubles.
  • Wifa. Austrian popular brand. All products are manufactured in Vienna and handcrafted. The cost starts from 9,000 rubles.
  • Edea. Italian brand. There is an opinion that these skates are best suited for narrow feet. But that's not true. Eat different models, and if you choose this brand, you can easily choose the right skates for your child. The cost of skates starts from 9,000 rubles.
  • SK (sports collection). This is the largest company in Russia for the production of all sports equipment. The cost of children's skates starts from 2000–3000 rubles.

Also in every city there are shops selling used sports equipment. In these stores you can find used skates, but in very good condition. When your child's foot grows, you can return them to the same store and buy others that fit in size. In this case, you can save a lot. Prices for leather skates start from 5,000 rubles and above. Prices for plastic skates are much lower: from 500 rubles. You can also look at private advertisements for sale. Their prices are approximately the same.

Skids

The figure skate consists of two parts: a figure boot and a blade with teeth on the leading edge, thanks to which you can perform various complex elements.

The runners are removable and non-removable. Expensive models usually have removable skids because the blades wear out much faster than the boots. The blades are periodically sharpened with a radius of 11 to 15 mm. It is recommended to sharpen blades in specialized workshops so as not to damage the blade. The quality of sharpening using professional equipment will be perfect, and the master will make the grooves of the same depth.

How to properly care

Caring for skates is quite simple. You need to wear special plastic covers for blades for movement from the locker room to the ice rink, and soft covers made of fabric or fur for storage after training. After each lesson, you need to wipe the boots and blade with a soft, dry cloth to prevent rust from appearing on the blade. Skates should be stored in special cases. Do not dry skates close to a heat source. And, as mentioned above, do not forget to sharpen them periodically.

If your child skates on an outdoor skating rink, then winter clothing will provide him with a sufficient degree of protection. It is very important that it does not hinder movement. We do not advise you to put any protection on your child in the form of elbow pads and knee pads, because... the child may feel uncomfortable and lose interest in skating.

A helmet may also be uncomfortable, but if you are very worried, you can buy it for your own peace of mind. The likelihood of any serious injury occurring on the skating rink is very unlikely. At most, the child will get away with bruises or bruises.

For beginners, pros purchase special suits made of elastic fabrics, and under the suit - thermal underwear for figure skating. Knowing the size of your child, you can easily select any set.

Let's sum it up

Figure skating classes contribute to the development in children of a sense of responsibility and purposefulness, strengthening the immune system, since the ice skating rink maintains a minus temperature regime and the child’s body, getting used to such conditions, becomes more resistant to various types of colds. Posture is corrected, gracefulness in movements appears, a sense of rhythm and tact is developed thanks to the music that accompanies training. However, before sending your child to engage in this sport, you should consult with your pediatrician, as there are medical contraindications, such as disorders of the cardiovascular system, brittle bones and some other diseases.
