2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Chains must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard according to working drawings approved in the prescribed manner.

2.2. Chains should be made in sections, the length L of which is established by agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer.

2.3. There should be no cracks, clamps, delaminations or sharp edges on the surface of the chain parts.

2.4. In type P2 chains, the outer links must have protrusions that prevent the rollers from turning when the chain is in working position.

2.5. In assembled chains, the mobility of all articulated joints must be ensured.

2.6. The full service life of chains on face scraper conveyors is at least 12 months. The criterion for chain failure is an increase in the average meshing pitch value by more than

less than 5% of the nominal value.

3. COMPLETENESS

3.1. The manufacturer must attach a label to each package or unit of chain packaging.

The label must indicate:

symbol or trademark manufacturer; symbol of the circuit;

number of segments (in pieces) with a given number of links; gross weight (specified at the consumer’s request); batch number;

technical control mark; date of manufacture.

4. ACCEPTANCE RULES

4.1. To verify compliance of circuits with the requirements of this standard, the manufacturer must conduct acceptance and periodic tests.

4.2. Circuits should be submitted for testing in batches. The batch must consist of chains of the same standard size, manufactured in one shift and accepted according to one document. The batch volume must not exceed 1000 m of chain length.

4.3. From each batch of chains presented for acceptance testing, one sample 2.5 m long must be randomly selected for inspection appearance and mobility of hinge joints and one five-link specimen for dimensional verification and tensile testing.

When testing a sample with proof load and tensile strength, the total elongation at proof load, breaking load and total elongation at break should be determined, which must correspond to those indicated in the table.

4.4. During acceptance tests, circuits must be checked for compliance with the requirements of the rules. 1.2, 2.3-2.5.

In case of unsatisfactory test results, re-testing of twice the number of samples must be carried out.

The results of repeated tests are final and apply to the entire batch.

4.4.1. Total service life, weight and specific gravity should be determined by periodic testing.

4.5. Procedure for periodic testing

4.5.1. Batches of chains that have passed acceptance tests are subjected to periodic testing.

4.5.2. Periodic tests should be carried out in the scope of acceptance tests (taking into account the requirements of 4.4.1) on one batch of chains of each standard size at least once every three years.

4.6. Control testing by the consumer of compliance of the circuits with the requirements of this standard must be carried out in accordance with the requirements and. 4.4.

5. TEST METHODS

5.1. Checking the appearance of the circuits (i. 4.3) should be carried out visually.

5.2. Measuring the dimensions of chains (i. 4.3) should be carried out using measuring instruments with a reading scale division of up to 0.1 mm or limiting control gauges.

5.3. Measuring the pitch of engagement (i. 1.2) should be carried out at a load equal to 0.01-0.02 destructive.

5.4. To determine the mass of chains (i. 4.4), you should weigh a section of chains or several sections of chains with a total length of about 15 m and calculate the average actual mass of 1 m of chain in kilograms.

5.5. To determine the specific mass (i. 4.4.1), the average actual mass of 1 m of chain should be divided by the value of the breaking load indicated in the table.

5.6. The mobility of the hinged joints of the links and rollers (see 4.3) is checked by turning it by hand.

5.7. Tensile tests are carried out on tensile testing machines of any type.

When testing tensile with a test load and a tensile test, the sample is pre-stretched with a load equal to half the test load, after which it is unloaded to a load equal to 0.01 breaking load. The length of the sample in this position is taken as the initial length. The sample is then loaded with a test load and the total elongation at test load is determined. Next, the sample is loaded to failure, the value of the breaking load is recorded, and the total elongation at break is determined.

5.8. The complete service life of the circuits should be verified from operational observations.

6. LABELING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

6.1. Each section of the chain must have at least one internal or external link with a stamp containing a trademark or symbol of the manufacturer.

6.2. The type, dimensions and location of the mark on the links are established in the working drawings.

6.3. Preservation of circuits - in accordance with GOST 9.014-78 (protection option - VZ-2). The circuit protection period is 6 months.

By agreement with the consumer, the chains may not be preserved.

6.4. Chains should be transported without containers in bags in accordance with GOST 21650-76.

The packages should be tied with sections of chains in accordance with this standard or with wire in accordance with GOST 3282-74.

Requirements for fastening means are in accordance with GOST 21650-76.

Gross weight of packages - according to GOST 24597-81 or as agreed between the manufacturer and the consumer, but not more than 3 tons.

It is allowed, by agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer, to pack chains in wooden dense boxes of types I, II, IV and VI in accordance with GOST 10198-91, lined on the inside with bitumen paper in accordance with GOST 515-77 or other moisture-proof material.

6.5. When transporting chains by rail, metal or plywood labels with transport markings and “Center of Gravity” and “Slinging Place” signs must be attached to packages with chains or boxes. The number of labels is in accordance with GOST 14192-96.

Transport markings must contain basic, additional and informational inscriptions in accordance with GOST 14192-96.

The method of applying transport markings is in accordance with GOST 14192-96.

6.6. Transportation of chains should be carried out by any type of transport according to storage conditions group 9 (OZh1) GOST 15150-69.

Transportation of chains by rail must be carried out taking into account the requirements of the “Technical conditions for loading and securing cargo” approved by the Ministry of Railways.
