2. Move the air temperature control lever to the position corresponding to the lowest temperature, set the fan speed to the highest. Open the doors (to prevent the air conditioner from automatically turning off after the interior has cooled down).
	3. Check that the compressor is turned on. When the compressor is turned on, the electromagnetic clutch clicks and the central part of the clutch begins to rotate. Once the system temperature reaches operating levels, compare the temperature of the two evaporator tubes on the engine compartment bulkhead by touch. The evaporator outlet tube (larger diameter) should be slightly warmer than the inlet tube (smaller diameter).
	4. The tube leading from the condenser to the evaporator (the smaller diameter tube) should be cold, and the tube from the evaporator to the compressor should be slightly colder (about 2-6 ° C). If the evaporator outlet pipe is significantly warmer than the inlet pipe, then the refrigerant charge is insufficient.
5. With the air conditioner running, place the thermometer near the center of the air outlet duct. The air temperature at the outlet of the channel should be 17–20° C below the ambient temperature (and not exceed 20° C). If the ambient air temperature is very high, for example 45° C, then the temperature of the air leaving the air conditioner can reach 15° C, although as a rule the temperature of the cooled air is 17–20° C lower than the ambient temperature. If the temperature of the cooled air is higher than generally accepted, then recharging the air conditioner with refrigerant is necessary. Further work on the air conditioner is beyond the scope of this manual and must be carried out by trained personnel.
	6. Check the refrigerant condition through the sight glass. The sight glass is located at the top of the receiver (indicated by the arrow). If foaming is observed in the glass when the air conditioner is running, then the amount of refrigerant is insufficient.
7. In high ambient temperatures, bubbles may appear in the sight glass even when the refrigerant charge is normal. When the air conditioner is turned off and the amount of refrigerant is normal, a slight foaming is observed in the sight glass, which subsequently disappears.
8. If checks indicate that the refrigerant charge is insufficient, the vehicle should be taken to the dealer's service department or to a specialized workshop to have the refrigerant recharged.

Heater

If there is no air heating in the heater, then the reasons may be the following: either the thermostat does not close, as a result of which the liquid does not heat up enough and does not warm up the heater radiator well (in this case, replace the thermostat (see. subsection 4.3)), or the heater hose is clogged, preventing the flow of fluid through the radiator. In this case, flush the hose:

If the fan speed does not correspond to the switch position, then you need to check the fuses, wiring, switch, resistor block or motor (see. subsection 3.3.14).

If air does not flow from the outlets of the air ducts, proceed as follows:

If the carpet is wet or coolant vapor is leaking through the vents, there is a leak in the heater core. Replace the radiator (see subsection 4.5), since the heater radiator is usually not accepted for repair.
