The manufacturer produces VAZ 2107 cars with discs marked 5J × 13H2 ET29. Designations and sizes that are complex and incomprehensible at first glance are deciphered very simply:
"5" - the width of the rim of the wheel disc;
"J" - denotes the profile of the rim of the wheel disc;
"13" is the diameter of the wheel disc;
"H2" - the presence of two annular protrusions;
"ET" is the size of the protrusion of the disc rim.
On a VAZ 2107 car, the disc bolt pattern has dimensions of 4 × 98. It is standard. But for some reason, the owners want to use discs on their VAZ 2107, which have a completely different pattern. For example, some car enthusiasts like more massive discs, so they want to replace theirs with copies of other sizes. This little tuning is completely safe and will help you make your car stylish and original. Also, the bolt pattern will make your car more stable and maneuverable.

Which "rubber" to choose?
Marking of standard tires for VAZ 2107 - 175 / 70R13 82T.
"175" is the width of the tire profile;
"70" - the ratio of parameters such as the height and width of the tire profile;
"R" - this is the designation for a radial tire (note that this is not a radius, as most people incorrectly believe);
"13" - the diameter of its landing (namely the diameter, not the radius);
"82" - index of carrying capacity, which indicates the weight with which pressure can be exerted on each of the tires;
"T" is the maximum speed at which this bus can be used.
Safety on the road directly depends on the condition of the "seven" wheels. Therefore, you need to take a responsible approach to the selection of disks and tires, monitor the condition of the tread and the pressure in the tires. To do this, you need to know the parameters of the disks, the nominal tire pressure, the type of tread suitable for specific weather conditions.
Razboltovka VAZ 2107
The first thing you need to pay attention to when installing the disks is the bolt pattern of the VAZ 2107. The design of the “seven” provides for the bolt pattern of the “98x4” wheels - fastening with four bolts, the holes of which are located on a circle with a diameter of 98 millimeters. Many foreign cars have a close bolt pattern - 100x4. In the first case, the distance between the centers of the bolts is 69.3 mm, in the second - 70.7 mm. An error of 1.4 mm does not make it possible to properly fix a “non-native” disk, which over time will damage the disk, bolts or mounting holes.
There are ways of attaching 100x4 discs to a VAZ 2107 using pins, eccentrics, spacers or elongated bolts. But all of them either worsen the reliability of the fastening, or unnecessarily complicate it. It is better to install “native” disks unless absolutely necessary. Improper wheel alignment can cause imbalance and vibration, and in the worst case, a wheel that falls off while driving will cause an accident.
Tire pressure VAZ 2107
The nominal tire pressure depends on the type of tire and the load on the vehicle. If the wheels are over-inflated or deflated, the contact patch of the tire with the road changes. This causes deterioration in handling and an increase in braking distance. In addition, uneven accelerated wear of the tread begins. With over-inflated tires, the wear of the center of the tire increases, with under-inflated tires - the edges.
It is recommended to check the tire pressure after 500 km, but in practice it is better to do this more often. Small punctures in the tire, disc and spool defects cause air to escape from individual tires. In this case, the vehicle may drift off course, especially when braking.
The nominal pressure in the tires of the VAZ 2107 depends on the size of the rubber:
- 165 / 80R13 - 1.6 for the front, 1.9 for the rear wheels;
- 175 / 70R13 - 1.7 for the front, 2.0 for the rear wheels.
In hot weather and when driving, the tire pressure increases. With an aggressive driving style, passing sharp turns at high speed, the pressure can rise to 3-4 atmospheres. The material of the tires is designed for this and can withstand such fluctuations. But if you have a hernia or a cut on the tire, it can explode. The explosion of the front tire is especially dangerous, after which it is very difficult to keep the car on the track.
As the pressure decreases, the rolling resistance increases, which leads to an increase in fuel consumption. Also, the tire bends, the car becomes less responsive when maneuvering.
If the tire pressure is too low, the tires may even bend apart when cornering.
Selection and storage of tires
- The type of tires must be appropriate for the season and the condition of the road surface. At an average daily temperature below 5 degrees, you should switch to Winter tires, with a warmer one - for summer.
- Summer tires harden at low temperatures and lose traction. Winter - wear out intensively at high temperatures.
- You should not buy studded winter tires if you have to drive along city streets cleared of snow without leaving the city. The studs are good on snow and mud, but they are bad on asphalt.
- Tires must be cleaned of dirt and washed before storage.
- Tires should be stored upright on the floor or rack without sharp edges that could damage the rubber.
- It is unacceptable to store tires hanging on the inner surface - in this position, the edge of the tire adjacent to the rim is deformed.
- Do not store tires in direct sunlight or outdoors.
- It is unacceptable to place heating devices near the tires.
When choosing disks for a VAZ, you need to look not only at their appearance, but also at the possibility of using them on a particular model. In addition, certain technical characteristics must be considered.
The most important ones are:
- bolt pattern;
- diameter;
- departure;
- fasteners;
- centering hole diameter.
Basic disc functions
Wheels on passenger car perform a number of important tasks:
- rubber sealing around the perimeter;
- providing a rigid structure under the total mass of the vehicle;
- transmission of torque to the wheel.
Based on these functions, the car enthusiast can formulate the requirements for the disks, as well as their technical specifications... Any wheeled product must be dimensionally balanced, durable and safe. Only after that you can proceed to drilling the wheels on VAZ cars.

Wheel bolt pattern on the VAZ 2107
The design of the seven assumes that the wheels are drilled 4 × 98, where the number 4 indicates the number of bolts, and 98 indicates the diameter of the holes on the disc structure.
Many foreign cars use a bolt pattern with similar parameters - 4 × 100. In the first situation, the distance between the centering bolts is 69.3 mm, and in the second case, 70.7 mm. The error is 1.4 mm and at the same time does not make it possible to perform a tight fixation of a non-standard disc.
In addition, the installation of an autodisk with non-standard parameters can lead to deformation of elements, namely, mounting holes and bolts.
There are other methods of mounting 100 × 4 discs on a 7. For example, elongated bolts, adapter rings, studs, and eccentrics can be used. However, these parts can ultimately complicate or impair the fastening of the wheeled product.
Disks on the VAZ 2107 are fitted with 13-inch stamped disks or analogs with identical parameters. The tires have dimensions 175/70 / R13.
The nominal pressure in the "seven" tires directly depends on the size of the rubber:
175/70 / R13 - 1.9 rear, 1.6 front wheels;
165/80 / R13 - 2.0 rear, 1.7 front.
Wheel bolt pattern on 2106
For a six, the wheel bolt is 4 × 98. As for the factory dimensions of the disks, then:
- standard width is 5.0J,
- centering hole 58.5 mm,
- departure ET
The dimension of tires for a six is 175/70 / R13.
As a restyling, you can install wheels 185/60/14, 195/50 / R15.
Drilling on the VAZ 2109 model
The VAZ 2109, "nine" car, has factory bolt pattern of 4 × 98 autodiscs. Factory fitted with 175/70 / R13 tires and 13-inch wheels.

As for the dimensions of the factory VAZ disks, the width is 5.0-5.5J, the drilling is 4 × 98, as on other models, the centering hole is 58.5 mm and the offset is ET 37-40.
Drilling on 2111
The Lada 2111 station wagon was equipped with factory disks of 13 or 14 inches, depending on the vehicle configuration. Both options could be used.
Tire sizes: 175/70 / R13, 175/65 / R14, wheel: 5.0J wide, 4 × 98 drilled, 58.6mm center hole, ET40 offset.
Drilling on the VAZ 2114 model
Cars Lada Samara 2113, 2114 were equipped with factory stamps with 4 × 98 drilling.
As for the rims, the offset was ET40, the width was 5.0 J and the centering hole was 58.5 mm. Wheels 175/70 / R13.

The fifteenth model Lada 2115 is equipped with factory stampings with dimensions of 13 and 14 inches, and drilled 4 × 98.

The first Russian SUV Niva from VAZ or Lada 4 × 4 is equipped with steel factory wheels 16 inches and tires with dimensions 175/80 / R16 and 185/75 / R16.

Looseness of wheel disks is a set of measured parameters of a wheel that you need to know during installation. You can measure the necessary indicators yourself or use special tables for this, which are different for each car brand.
What dimensions are important to determine before purchasing wheels? What does the complete wheel formula look like? What are the dimensions of spare parts for domestic cars?
Disc size indicators
There are five basic dimensions, a mistake in determining which will make it impossible to install a wheel.
These include:
- number of bolt holes (LZ);
- the distance between them;
- the diameter of the circle on which they are located (PCD);
- diameter of the center (hub) window (DIA);
- departure (ET).
Number of windows for bolts per passenger cars varies from 3 to 6. For trucks, this figure reaches 12-15 units. Cars made in Togliatti have 4 inputs for bolts. An exception is the Niva fret, the wheels of which are fastened with five bolts each. The measurement of the number of holes is carried out visually, by simple counting.
How to measure yourself
The looseness of the discs also includes the distance between the windows. You can measure it with a caliper or ruler. Measurement is made from the center of one hole to the center of another. There are two ways: the distance between adjacent holes and the farthest holes.
Adjacent holes
The indicator under consideration is determined taking into account the dimensions of the circle on which the centers of the bolt slots are located. The diameter is determined from the compatibility tables or measured with a ruler.
To do this, measure the distance between adjacent bolts, and then multiply the resulting figure by a factor depending on the number of holes. The transverse circumference indicator for VAZ cars is 98 mm for passenger models and 139.7 mm for the Niva SUV.
The simplest is to measure on discs with an even number of holes (for 4, 6, 8 bolts), the distance between opposite holes will be the PCD value.
For discs for 5 bolts, the distance between any non-adjacent holes is measured, and the resulting figure is multiplied by 1.051.
Hub window diameter
The indicator of the central hub window is indicated both in the tables and in the full bolt pattern, which will be discussed below. In the absence of the necessary information, this indicator is easily measured using a ruler or caliper. The diameter of the VAZ-2110 hub seat is 58.6 mm.
Note: it is not always possible to measure the center hole, since on some cars it is of an irregular shape. A striking example is Daewoo nexia pre-styling version.
The looseness of the wheel disks is determined taking into account their departure. Outreach is the ratio of the vertical axis of symmetry of the disc to the point of contact with the hub. Departure can be negative, positive, or zero.
Installing an incorrectly selected disk for this factor is possible. However, it disrupts the suspension and makes the vehicle unsafe.
Complete and abbreviated bolt pattern
As a rule, on wheels from the factory, a complete formula is indicated that displays all the necessary parameters. In colloquial speech, motorists often use a short and recognizable designation that does not give a complete picture of the product. Let's consider each of the formulas separately.
Abbreviated
The abbreviated formula for determining the measured values is called PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter). It includes two sizes and looks like this: 4ˣ98 (wheel bolt pattern for VAZ-2110). The number "4" here denotes the number of bolt cutouts, the number "98" - the result of the transverse measurement of their circumference.
Common PCD values: 98, 100, 108, 112, 114.3, 120, 130, 139.7.
A common mistake is setting a 98 disc to a 100 hub, since the difference is not visually visible. The result will be a skew and incomplete adhesion of the disc to the hub.
The abbreviated formula allows you to select the required spare part that can be installed on the car. However, an incorrect bolt pattern on other parameters will not allow the vehicle to be fully exploited.

How to find out the bolt pattern by the full formula, which is indicated on the disc at the factory and has the following format: 7.5 Jˣ15 H2 5ˣ100 ET 40 D 54.1? Let's consider what each alphanumeric group of this encoding stands for.
- 7.5 JX 15 - 7.5 "rim width, 15" diameter. The letter "X" indicates that the wheel is cast or forged, the letter "J" - that the products should be used only on mono-drive cars (marking for all-wheel drive cars - JJ).
- H2 is the number of end protrusions (humps) designed to hold the tubeless tire. Variants with one projection ("H1") or without them ("AH") are possible. Hump (bump, elevation) - provides reliable fixation of the tire in turns, avoids depressurization.

- ET 40 (short for German Einpress Tief) is a departure indicator. In the example shown, a positive overhang of 40 mm is indicated. If the overhang is negative, a "-" sign is placed in front of the digit; if it is zero, a "0" sign is placed. The overhang determines where the mating plane will be located. Deviation from the manufacturer's recommended values leads to a change in the direction and magnitude of the forces that act on the suspension.

Note: The rim width and diameter are measured in inches. 1 inch equals 2.54 cm. The rest of the bolt pattern is usually measured in millimeters.

Is it possible to install wheels with an unsuitable bolt pattern
Some motorists, in an attempt to save money on the purchase of spare parts with the necessary parameters, purchase products that do not correspond to the car brand. Such wheels undergo self-processing, expand the hub hole, change the location of the bolt positions, and then put them on the car.
Theoretically, such a refinement is possible, but the work must be carried out with maximum accuracy. It is impossible to measure the disc so correctly in garage conditions. And inaccurately drilled cutouts lead to wheel runout, destruction of the hub and suspension elements, and a violation of the stability of the car on the road.
Competent revision of the car in conditions close to factory conditions is not economically feasible. The work will cost more than purchasing a wheel that initially fits all sizes.
Dull VAZ stamped discs are often hidden behind elaborate plastic caps. And for good reason. Each owner of a VAZ-2110 wants his car to stand out from the mass of gray and black dozen. One of the ways to improve the appearance of the car is deservedly considered to be replacement rims... Not many people think that in order to select a replacement disc, it is necessary to take into account not only the number of mounting holes. Today we will figure out the bolt pattern of the VAZ-2110 disks and select several options for a simple and bloodless replacement.
Each wheel, like a tire, has its own purpose and parameters. The most popular on our roads are steel stampings and alloy wheels.
The main parameters of the rim.
A competent owner always has in stock not one set of disks, but several. The use of casting is safe and rational only on good and close to ideal roads. In our directions, steel discs dominate, but they are not all the same. It is possible to choose the correct disk for replacement only by knowing its exact parameters. Only then will it guarantee a safe and comfortable ride.
Wheel bolt parameters on the VAZ-2110

All VAZ cars are equipped with rims that meet the so-called "Italian" standard.
And this is not at all in vain, if you remember the history of the plant. The disk parameters for the VAZ-2110 are as follows: 5Jx13 PCD4x98 ET35-40 DIA58.6 ... In order not to get lost in symbols and numbers, let's deal with each parameter in order:
- 5J- means that for VAZ cars of the tenth family, the wheel rim can have a width of 5 inches, while the maximum permissible width is 5.5 inch ;
- 13 or 14 - disc diameter in inches;
- PCD 4 × 98- this is the same bolt pattern, which is in no way more important than other parameters of the disk, it says that the disk has 4 holes, the centers of which are located on the diameter 98 mm (Pitch Circle Diameter ), a single parameter for all VAZ cars except Lada 4x4;
- ET 35-40- the minimum and maximum possible disk overhang, that is, the distance from the geometric center of the disk to the mating plane of the wheel to the hub;
- DIA 58.6- the diameter of the bore of the disc on the hub, this parameter is the same for all VAZ cars (except for Lada 4x4).
Exact parameters wheel rim must be embossed on it.
Wheel selection rules
For "dozens" native disks are 13- or 14-inch with a bolt pattern 4x98, where 4 is the number of holes, 98 is the diameter of the circle on which they are located.
In fact, there is nothing complicated about it. It is not necessary to endanger your life by installing drilled discs even 1 mm more or less than the allowable one. Any rims from Italian and some French cars are perfect for cars of the tenth family. Of course, with the same pattern.

It should be noted that the new VAZ cars changed the Italian size to French. It happened with the arrival on the conveyor French platform B0 on which Vesta is built, Largus, Xray. They have a drilling parameter of 4x100 mm. Choose the right discs and don't forget about safety!
