Under the hood is a 1.6-liter 16-valve engine with a capacity of 98 horsepower, familiar from the VAZ-21104. The 5-speed transmission received a reinforced clutch, designed to transmit a torque of 145 Nm. Sealed bearings with increased service life began to be installed in the gearbox. The use of a vacuum brake booster of increased dimension reduces the effort on the brake pedals and increases the efficiency of the braking system. New front and rear suspension struts, combined with carefully selected shock and anti-roll properties, deliver superior handling and stability. The maximum speed of Lada Priora with a driver and one passenger is 183 km / h, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h - 11.5 seconds. According to toxicity standards, the engine now complies with Euro 3 and even Euro 4. This became possible due to the displacement of the catalyst closer to the engine, now it heats up faster and the process of catalyzing harmful substances starts much faster.

Basic configuration "Norm" includes: driver's airbag, electric power steering, armrest between the front seats, central locking with remote control, height-adjustable steering column, electric front windows, immobilizer, on-board computer, clock, two head restraints for rear passengers, rear seat backrest with armrest and headlight range control. Priora received a modern heating and ventilation system, which allows you to maintain an optimal microclimate in the cabin, provides quick defrosting and sweating of the glass. All cars of this family are equipped with athermal glass and heated rear window. No attention was paid to active safety in the "Norm" configuration. ABS and brake force distribution (EBD) systems are present only in the "Lux" version, which appeared in 2008. The "Lux" package is also supplemented with air conditioning, power window drives on all doors and a second airbag for the front passenger and seat belts with pretensioners. The new front panel is covered with soft-look plastic and is highly scratch resistant. Instead of lurid inserts "under the silver" there are more stylish overlays "under the piano lacquer".

The doors of the car, in addition to the new upholstery, received reinforced safety bars. At the top of the center console is a 7-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system, which in cheap versions is replaced with a screen that duplicates the readings of the on-board computer. The peak torque of this power unit is brought to the level of 145 Nm, achieved at 4000 rpm. The maximum speed is declared by the manufacturer at the level of 183 km / h, and the starting acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h was reduced to 11.5 seconds. At the same time, the 98-horsepower engine is also more economical than its younger brother - the average consumption is predicted at 7.2 liters, but it can increase to 7.4 liters if the car is equipped with an air conditioner.

The new flagship, like the two previous engines, has a displacement of 1.6 liters, but at the same time it is equipped with a completely new fuel injection system and dynamic supercharging, which made it possible to increase its power to 106 hp, developed at 5800 rpm. The torque of the flagship motor at its peak reaches 148 Nm at 4000 rpm. According to the plant, a car with such an engine under the hood accelerates to 100 km / h in 11.5 seconds and picks up 183 km / h of maximum speed. Average fuel consumption according to the passport is only 6.9 liters.

Total came out 396 thousand. What can be said about this car in comparison with the “ancestor” - VAZ 2110. The assembly is much better, the gaps are uniform and small, in the Lada Priora's cabin everything is fine-tuned. The impression is slightly spoiled by the uncovered "self-tapping screws" on the front panel, but these are trifles. They removed the convenient door handles - in vain. Sound insulation has improved - the car is noticeably quieter. The exception is idling. Mutters a little like a tractor. I think that the reason for this is the exhaust system, since the engine at acceleration is clearly less audible than in the "top ten". Immediately change the regular wipers - they creak and do not clean well and are short, plus everything. I didn't like the box - it was tight and rather fuzzy. I heard about the modernization of the box at the factory, but it looks like nothing has changed much. In general, the car is relatively good. If you want to new car for 400 thousand - an option. First poured 95, then they began to adjust 92 according to "halva". Without any complaints, if the dynamics have become worse, then quite a bit. The motor is very interesting, not to say that it is rushing straight, but not quite a "vegetable" either. I am a fan of hooliganism a couple of times, clocked up to 200 on my own wheels, at 15 radius more than 180 does not go. But this is according to the speedometer, in real life, GPS shows 10 km less. Lada Priora leaves from Kia Sorento 2.4 175 hp, Hyundai ix 35 2.0 petrol (diesel analogue "Sportage" is already leaving). Almost all cars of the C class 1.6 type Focus both from the spot and from the move. Nobody else was going to fool around and agreed. The car is light, this is its advantage. On a mileage of 71,000, I completely got the car, I immediately changed the fuel filter (which, by the way, did not change from the factory, in the summer I will clean the nozzles on my own), AU17DVRM candles, an air filter and oil. Total Quartz 9000 5W-40 oil was always poured into Lada Priora and changed in 7-8 thousand. Not so long ago I stopped by for diagnostics, there were no complaints about the suspension, all the anthers are intact and without cracks, the shock absorbers do not snot, in general, complete order. The car is not raped, it drives in the range of 3000 rpm. From breakdowns: about a month ago the stove stopped blowing in a hot position, it was found out that the motor reducer of the heater damper (price 800 rubles) broke down, the fuses on the F9 25 Ampere stove burned a couple of times, the native battery died in the fall and was changed. Among the shortcomings - LKP, this winter “mushrooms” began to appear on the hood due to chips, while I temporarily covered them with Litol 24, in the summer I will deal with them in more detail.
