Design and principle of operation

Bioxi septic tanks belong to aeration tanks, which differ from conventional septic tanks and sedimentation tanks and have their own characteristics. The liquid in such devices is saturated with oxygen pumped inside, thus creating a favorable environment for the development of microorganisms. Wastewater treatment is carried out in several stages:

• From the house, through pipes, water enters the first compartment, which is equipped with an air lift, a coarse filter and an aerator. Primary purification by aerobic bacteria takes place in this chamber. The resulting silt settles to the bottom, and the settled liquid flows through the airlift into the next chamber. The sludge accumulated at the bottom of the sludge receptacle is pumped out through a special pipe.
• The second chamber, the largest in volume, is responsible for main process cleansing. The main processes occurring in the main compartment: aeration, sedimentation and pumping of purified liquid into the next chamber. Here, certain conditions are created for the development of microorganisms, namely: saturation of water with oxygen and mixing with activated sludge.
• The third chamber is a sludge mass stabilizer - here the sludge is separated into fractions. The compartment is also equipped with an aerator, due to which the sludge is separated into certain fractions. Part of the sludge is sent to the second chamber to take part in the cleaning process, and part settles to the bottom of the stabilizer and is removed over time.

The water purified in this way (up to 98%) complies with environmental and sanitary and epidemiological standards.

The lineup

All Bioxi septic tank models have the same structure and operating principle, the only difference is the removal of purified water; some of them are equipped with gravity drainage, while others are equipped with forced drainage. In addition, there is a difference in the volume of the tank, which determines the number of users it can effectively serve.

For a private home or cottage, suitable models would be septic tanks of series 1 or 2, which can easily serve families of up to 5 and 10 people, respectively. All other models are designed for a large number of users and are more suitable for installing sewer systems in large houses where several families live, or in small villages.

Installation

The body of the septic tank is made of ultra-durable polypropylene and is made in such a way that it can be installed in areas with high groundwater levels. The rather large mass of the structure allows it to be installed without a concrete slab at the bottom of the pit and without additional anchoring.

The station is installed on a sand cushion 10 cm thick; the upper part of the septic tank should be 15 - 20 cm above the soil level, this will help avoid flooding of the tank. After installation, the body is filled with sand, while simultaneously filling the chambers with water.
